Description of Lighthouse Savudrija - Savudrija
The oldest lighthouse on the Adriatic, built in 1818. Croatia's westernmost and northernmost lighthouse. The lighthouse tower is 29 m high and guests can climb up to the top upon prior arrangement with the lighthouse keeper.
The lighthouse is easily accessible, it has its own parking space and a fenced garden. Near the lighthouse there are hiking and cycling trails leading through a forest of acacias and pine trees. The lighthouse lies at the center of a tourist area and is surrounded by hotels, restaurants, camping sites with all of the entertainment facilities and other tourist services.Berths for speedboats and boats are located in the vicinity. The provisions can be purchased daily from the stores nearby.The lighthouse is connected to the local waterworks and electric grid.The apartment can be rented throughout the whole year. The apartment has heating.The lighthouse keeper and his family permanently live in a separate apartment (separate entrance).House pets are not allowed.
The sea is 30 meters away and there are many restaurants near the facility. The town Savudrija is generally known for its excellent fish and proscuttio, which is here dried in a special way so guests who stay at the lighthouse can choose between wine cellars that serve traditional Istrian dishes.
Guests have one 4-bed apartment at their disposal.
